And so begins a new worship blog on a not-so-new idol but one that is inching her way into the spotlight. Basically, all I really know about Aminachan is what I’ve read in her j-ongaku article:
…
Name: Sato Amina (佐藤亜美菜)
Birthdate: October 16th, 1990
Birthplace: Tokyo, Japan
Height: 157cm (5′1″)

I’m just going to come out and say that I’m a fairly new fan of AKB48 (at the time of this posting, 4 months) and while I have other favourites, there’s something about Satou Amina that just grabs my attention. It probably started with AKB48’s medley performance on CDTV’s SP Premier Live 2009>>2010 of Iiwake Maybe and RIVER. In particular, Iiwake Maybe:
yasumi no aida
aezu ni itara
Her pout pretty much broke my heart.
Between her and tomomichan’s voices, my heart just died.
After that, I bumped into her again watching AKB in New York: the clip of her and Akicha showing off their newly acquired I <3 NY teddybear backpacks (NyuNyu and ChaCha respectively). Then, I watched Tomochin’s A5 Birthday Stage and found out she made cookies for some of the members. Most recently, and the one that pretty much sealed the deal of Amina being my oshimen, was her cute moment on the 100217 episode of AKBINGO! downing a pudding cup due to a penalty game in dodge ball.
Since then, I’ve revisited the songs (from singles) that she was in (which aren’t that many). My favourite AKB single has always been Iiwake Maybe but when I found out about Amina’s involvement in the single and watched the announcement on the DVD, it made me so much happier. I liked Kimi no koto ga suki dakara when I first heard it but now that I know more about how the Senbatsu / Undergirls system works, it’s received a few more plays than it would’ve without said knowledge.
That being said, I’ve decided to start this blog for whenever I come across anything fun and interesting about Satou Amina. It might not be the most up-to-date but whenever I get something worth jotting down, it’ll be here. If any of you readers have anything I should be looking into, send me tips through my tips page! Otherwise, enjoy reading through my experience as a growing Satou Amina fan!
FTR, I’ve only watched 2 and a half stages. Hate me because of that if you want. I’ve always been more of a variety show guy anyway.
