MediaFire | Free MediaFire account users can upload files up to 200MB without much trouble for the downloadee. I hate RapidShare and MegaUpload because of the delays they put on the files. MediaFire makes it easy and painless for everyone involved to share large files. I have my TechnoPopLove mixes, stepcharts with videos, and stepchart packs on there.
YouTube | If you don’t know what YouTube is, lurk moar. File limits are 2GB or 10 minutes, which ever comes first. All details are on their site. I use YouTube to share ITG gameplay videos and tutorials and streaming versions of my remixes, some I even make videos for.
Twitter | Microblogging at its best. Don’t need to explain any further.
Last.fm | Music tracking and recommendation site. Install their app and track your listening habits and find new, similar artists! Also, find like-minded music heads!
statcounter | Track your visitors!
feedburner | RSS feed management and customization made easy!
who’s among us | Be a stalker! Find out realtime stats on who is on your site.
I Like This | Adds “like” functionality similar to facebook’s Like function.
Twitter Tools | Allow your blog to update twitter and vice-versa.
site history
This site has seen many iterations. It probably started out on a free site service like geocities or fortunecity. It, then, worked its way up to an apache webserver. Last year, the domain “johpan.com” was purchased and was attached to tumblr accounts. Now, it’s found a home hosted with his sister’s hosting service on the “fieldsofmaize.com” domain.
It’s always been a personal blog. It has been a coding sandbox in the past but, now it’ll be a portal to my original creations – remixes and stepcharts.
