As you may or may not have seen, International Wota has launched its new theme. The theme was designed by the staff as a whole but coded almost entirely by myself. I know that markup like the back of my hand so when I came across this strange, rogue <iframe>, I became suspicious. Long story short, apparently, SiteMeter uses a tracking and advertising cookie in its service. Also apparently, this was big news back when they pushed it in 2007. Way to be behind on the times. Anyway, I’ve decided to dump usage of it on my blog since I don’t really like pushing that kind of crap on my guests.

If you’d like to get rid of the tracking cookie that SiteMeter left behind, look for cookie labeled “specificclick.net” and delete as necessary.
