In the future, these remix posts will have detailed information about the processes involved in its creation.

We all know I’m a huge Perfume fan. I love messing around with their vocals and instrumentals. One Room Disco is one of my favourite Perfume songs and I’ve worked on a few remixes of it but none I think are good enough for release…

I heard Sean Kingston’s Fire Burning the Dancefloor at work one day since the radio was on. I liked it for what it was worth. The lyrics aren’t about getting “crunk in the club” or talking about the ways he’s going to “hit that”, instead, just talking about how this girl’s got moves. I think it isn’t as tasteless as other hip-hop out there and is quite catchy. I thought, at the time I first heard it, that it sounds like it could use some TechnoPop. One Room Disco’s instrumental track was the first I tried. It worked well, let me to make this video.

I got the idea to mix in the other vocals later on.

But anyway, this is my little tribute to what I think Perfume is about. Their dancing is quite attention getting and one of the group’s most unique features. Every live performance or concert I’ve watched, they put 200% effort into making sure their dancing is spot on, even to the point where they don’t actually sing. It’s a big sacrifice and don’t think it’s necessary and that they should work on dancing and singing at the same time, but I guess you can’t have everything.

Ah well, enjoy the mashup / remix.
